🌟 Building character and creativity! 🌟
At Shawnee Heights, all our schools work with the 8 Keys of Excellence, a character education program that helps guide our students toward a positive future filled with confidence, teamwork, leadership, and life principles.
This month, second graders at Tecumseh North embraced the key of "Failure Leads to Success" with a fun challenge—building the tallest paper tower using only paper! 📄✨ No glue, no tape, no staples.
There were some topples, but every misstep taught them valuable lessons about perseverance and success. We're so proud of their creativity and determination! 👏✨
The 8 Keys of Excellence: Integrity, Failure Leads to Success, Speak with Good Purpose, This is It, Commitment, Ownership, Flexibility, and Balance. 💪
We love seeing our students live out the 8 Keys each day!

Last night, the Board of Education recognized one of our students, Ethan Jamison, and his father, Josh Jamison, for their remarkable actions on Saturday, September 28th.
While on their way home from the homecoming dance, Ethan and his father came across a man who urgently needed medical assistance. Without hesitation, they called 911 and stayed with the man until emergency services arrived. Ethan and his father's attentiveness and quick response potentially saved a life that night. In a world where many people may choose to look the other way, Ethan and his father's actions remind us of the compassion and care within our community.
We are incredibly proud to have families like the Jamison's a part of our Shawnee Heights community. Thank you to the Jamison's for stepping up in a critical moment! #ProudToBeATBird #CommunityStrong #TbirdHeroes
