The District Advisory Council is comprised of representatives from each of the site councils, PTO's and booster clubs supporting the schools of the district in addition to a teacher representative, the Board of Education Vice-President, curriculum director, superintendent, and two high school students. The mission of the DAC is to assist the Shawnee Heights Board of Education, Staff, and patrons in bringing about cooperation and coordination of resources to maximize educational opportunities for the students of Shawnee Heights U.S.D. 450.  The DAC shall provide advice and assistance by promoting the welfare of children and youth in the home, school, and community and increasing citizen awareness, input, involvement, and confidence in Shawnee Heights Unified School District by receiving reports and information related to curriculum, programs, and activities of the school district. 

Meetings start at 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the High School in the Professional Development Center.
