Mrs. Martinez's class celebrated National SCHWA Day today! We wore our pajamas and had a banana split with vanilla ice cream in honor of the schwa along with other schwa activities.
Thank you to the SHHS Girl's Bowling Team who welcomed our students this morning. They had an outstanding season placing 6th at 5A State Bowling.
Also, don't forget about "Kids Bowling Free" this summer.
🩵🥎 We had a few special visitors today at lunch and recess! Thank you Washburn Softball ladies for coming out and practicing your soccer and basketball skills as well with our students!
Yesterday, Garden Club planted 🥔, 🧅 and 🪻🌺! They also measured the Mustang Moon Tree and put 5 gallons of native grass seed on the prairie.

These students were nominated for the Key of Flexibility! They have the willingness to try something different when they realize something isn't working in order to achieve their goals. Great work, students!
We had the honor of having the SHHS girl's wrestling team at morning assembly today. These ladies placed 3rd at the state tournament. They are awesome wrestlers but even better role models.
Look for these cards to come home with students this week. This is a great way to try a new sport without breaking the bank.
Bowling is currently offered at the middle and high school. The women's bowling team recently placed 6th in the state tournament.
Thank you to our PTO for hosting a free family event for the whole family. We are dancing until 8:00!

On Friday, March 7th, Tecumseh South will have dress up day “Books Brighten our World.” Wear tie-dye, bright colors, or an outfit with lots of colors 🎨from head to toe to celebrate Read Across America Week.📚
1st grade is working on measurement right now in Math. They measured different classroom objects using 🔟cm blocks and 1️⃣cm blocks.
🔑Students of the month🔑 These students were recognized for taking ownership! They are responsible for their thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. Way to go, students!
After assessing the conditions, we plan to return to school tomorrow. The biggest concern remains the frigid morning temperatures, so please ensure your student is dressed warmly. If you believe the conditions are unsafe for your student to attend, you are welcome to keep them home - be sure to notify the school as you normally would. 🏉6th grade working on Super Bowl STEM and solving volume of 3D shapes !! Students got to make their own paper football, draw and design a football field, and some Super Bowl geography/trivia questions
