The Scholastic Book Fair is Here! We will still have the book fair available to students!
Next week, September 7-10, students will create their book fair wish lists during their weekly library day and time!
The following week, September 13-17 students will have time to purchase books during their weekly library day and time!
Don’t want to send cash or check! Use the bookfair E-Wallet feature! Find E-Wallet at the bottom of our book fair page on this link!
Everyone who signs up for E-Wallet will be entered to win a $20.00 Book Fair Gift Card and a $50.00 Book Fair Gift Card for their classroom teacher!
(Students who are not purchasing books will have a chance to win a $5, $10, or $25 book fair gift card through our library activities!

BES REMINDER: Grandparents Day Is Postponed
Berryton Families,
After discussing the rising internal quarantines in our schools with district leadership and Shawnee County health department staff we have decided that it is best to postpone Grandparents Day festivities.
Grandparents Day is such a fun event for both students and families, and we will certainly reschedule this day when we can ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and guests.

BES Carnival News:
Bring your change to school starting Friday, August 27th through Thursday, September 9th and vote for your favorite teacher or staff member. Each participant will have a “donkey” bank in the main hall in front of the office.
Vote by dropping your coins or bills in the participant’s bank each morning before school. The participant with the most change will get to “Pin the Tail on the Donkey”! The game will begin at 5:30pm on the day of the Carnival (Saturday, September 25th) at the petting zoo. Come watch the winner hit the target with their donkey sidekick!

It was a busy but fantastic first day of school yesterday; we are so happy to see everyone back in school. Airmen from the U.S. Air Force came to greet Sgt. Wesley Kubie's son for his first day of school. Such a beautiful act of kindness from these men as they stepped up to support the Kubie family.
Dear Kindergarten and Preschool Parents and Caregivers,
This is just a reminder that you are invited to a Parent information Night specially designed for our kindergarten and preschool students! KINPIN (Kindergarten and Preschool Parent Information Night) is August 24, 2021, at the BES Cafeteria from 5:30-7:00 PM.
The purpose of this event is twofold. First, you'll have an opportunity to ask questions and gain information about preschool or kindergarten and our school from your child's teacher. Second, you'll have the opportunity to meet and mingle with other families as well.
To make it easy on you, we're serving supper! We'll have hamburgers/hotdogs, sides and dessert. We've planned enough food for your immediate family only.
